We are looking for performer/model/helpers to take part in a video work commissioned as part of The Mutual Charter for Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012.  This time the render ghosts of our previous work will be the future residents of the proposed “creative factory”, which is the site of our work. We are looking for people to represent exaggerated “renegades, optimists and game changers”. Taken from the marketing blurb from the Speirs Wharf redevelopment website http://www.glasgowcanal.co.uk/regeneration-projects/whisky-bond, these will form the basis of characters. We have made props from clip art which we will ask the participants to interact with. These are abstracted artefacts that in the narrative the worker has become totally alienated from in a limbo purgatory of over non work. For the participant this will mainly involve posing, and movements associated with work, in a sparse set which will allude to a hip workplace and the cliche of the creative stereotype. Any discussion arising may drive the content, we have not decided if the work will be fully silent or include subtitles/text.
The filming is happening this saturday the 14th April. Because the building is currently under construction, access is limited. We will be meeting at 10am at the Scottish opera cafe by the Glue factory and will finish filming by 4pm. So you would have to be available from 10-5pm.

If interested or if you have any questions, please contact us via surf.eastern@gmail.com.
